The newest European lotto game

The decision to create the latest lottery game was made in Amsterdam by 9 European countries. Next 7 countries joined in February 2013 year, another two in October 2014 year, and the latter country joined the EuroJackpot group in 3 October 2015 year. They created a common fund for the winnings, of which the lowest top prize is 10 million euros, and the highest is 90 million euros.
EuroJackpot is the first major competition for EuroMillions, which was created in the year 2004. EuroMillions is still the game with a higher prize pool, where the jackpot reaches 190 million euros, however, the probability of winning is much higher when playing EuroJackpot (1: 95 million for EuroJackpot and 1: 139 million for EuroMillions).

What are the EuroJackpot prize tiers?

The EuroJackpot is a 5+2 number format lottery. The more numbers you match with the drawn numbers, the higher the prize tier that you qualify for. You can win the jackpot, prize tier 1, by matching all of the draw numbers i.e. 5+2 numbers.The total lottery prize money is divided into 12 tiers. The split of prize money into these tiers is shown below:
